Team Gritty hit the desert trail this week to celebrate a birthday (29 again? Sounds good!). We roved a-horseback, on a guided trek high among the treacherous trails and frightening precipices of the mountains in Cave Creek Regional Park.

Greater Phoenix … Oh My!

Team Gritty spent Thanksgiving with friends and family, ensconced in the warmth of the greater Phoenix region, with distant views of its stunning, mountainous environs. To these New Englanders (well, most recently, anyway), the daytime temps of 80 degrees were preposterous, outlandish, devilish … and damn fine.

Catalina State Park, near Tucson, may have disappeared from our rear-view mirror a couple of days ago, but that doesn’t mean we won’t return. To date it’s our favorite place we’ve visited–and considering the stunning spots we’ve already seen, that’s saying something.
